Review cardiac anatomy and physiology while strengthening your cardiac assessment skills. This course enhances knowledge and nursing interventions for coronary syndromes and includes comprehensive coverage of common arrhythmias. Students will learn to interpret rhythm strips, assess chest pain, and understand the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and management of conditions such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, and related complications. Key topics include cardiac monitoring, diagnostic tests, and evidence-based treatment strategies.
Prerequisite: By registering for this course, students confirm they have current RN or RPN registration.
