This course is intended exclusively for students who were admitted to the SSW Diploma program before October 1, 2024. It will not fulfill program requirements for students admitted after this date.

This course challenges students to investigate and understand power, privilege and oppression in Canadian society. Students will examine social issues such as poverty, homelessness and disability within a larger social, political and economic context. The course progresses to identifying advocacy and community change strategies that promote social justice, inclusion and equality.
