Sewing with Knits

Further your skills by making tops, pants, swimwear etc. from stretch knit fabrics.
During this 12-week course, gain a better understanding of the processes needed to make garments using stretch fabrics. Learn the tips and techniques to obtain a professional looking garment, how to choose a pattern in the correct size for various measurements and how to finish seams, neckline, hem treatments and pattern alterations.
By the end of this course, you will have completed a top or cardigan, a pair of yoga pants or leggings and a tank style body suit or swim suit.
This course is suited to the person who has completed previous garments using a commercial pattern and has Sewing basic or the equivalent.
A Serger is not required for this class, however, it will help to make it easier to work with knits.
A sewing machine in good working order with a zigzag stitch and a package of stretch needles to work with is required.
