Introduction to Cake Decorating

Code:
CAKE 1951

In this hands-on class, you’ll explore three popular icing styles used in cake decorating: royal icing, buttercream, and fondant. Over four hours, you’ll learn the purpose and properties of each type, how to properly handle and apply them, and how to use basic techniques to decorate cakes with a clean and creative finish.
The goal is to give you a strong foundation in using different icings and an understanding of which types work best for different decorating tasks. You’ll leave with a fully decorated cake that shows off all three styles and the skills you’ve learned.
No prior decorating experience is needed, just bring your creativity and a willingness to try something new.

Notes:

Dress Code Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting messy. Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required for safety. Bring your own if preferred.
