Data and Asset Security

Code:
SECT 1981

An organization’s set of data is one of its most important assets. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to describe strategies for data and asset security.

Graduates of this course will be able to describe data and asset ownership, classification, processes, and roles involved in data and asset security. You will be able to identify the different types of data your organization has, where it is located, and who should have access. As a graduate of this course, you will also be able to describe processes for data identification, classification, and ownership.

Many organizations are not aware of what constitutes data, who owns the data, and who is responsible for your organization's data. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to describe the roles and responsibilities, best practices, regulations, and examples of data retention.
