Program Description

The Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is the entry-level designation. It is also the best known HR designation in Canada and available exclusively from the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA).

As a successful graduate of this program you will qualify for approved credit towards the academic component of the Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRP) designation granted by the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO).
Students who receive an overall minimum average grade of 70 per cent in these courses with no individual course grade under 65%, meets the coursework requirements to write the CHRP Knowledge Exam – a significant step towards becoming a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) in Ontario.

Requirements for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation are;

  • HRPA registration in good standing
  • Successful completion of the coursework requirement
  • Successful completion of the CHRP Knowledge Exam (CHRP-KE)
  • Successful completion of the CHRP Employment Law Exam
  • Successful completion of the Job Ready Program
