Program Description

The Internet has revolutionized the way people communicate and the way organizations do business. As a result, there is a rapidly growing demand for computer professionals who know how to establish and maintain websites. The flexible skillsets gained through this certificate will provide you with the ability to create a vibrant, modern and exciting web presence, whether for business, entertainment or personal use.

Certificate Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) including Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U)
    OR
    Grade 12 equivalency certificate achieved through College academic upgrading
    OR
    Mature Student Status (19 years of age or older) with Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U)

  • You must maintain an overall average of 60% or a GPA of 2.0 in order to graduate
  • A minimum of 25% of courses must be completed through Durham College.

  • Create a website by applying programming language, and graphic design and database management principles.
  • Create a website that supports client objectives of visual effect, interactivity, accessibility, and functionality by using current software.
  • Maintain website functionality by using current industry recognized tools and techniques.
