Welcome to Academic Upgrading - a free service to assist students who are looking to complete their high school equivalency, improve their grades in order to enter a college program, and increase their literacy and numeracy skills.
Criminology, community development, communication... Liberal Arts covers a lot of ground. This 8-month program helps students determine their area of interest, while strengthening communication and thinking skills. Successful graduates may be eligible for advanced standing in several Ontario Tech degree programs.
With a focus on social science, critical thinking, and communication skills, this program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing advanced standing into the second year of Trent University’s Bachelor of Arts (Honours) or Bachelor of Science (Honours) programs.

Designed for individuals interested in science and engineering programs, this 8-month program strengthens the foundational science, math, and communications skills needed in the post-secondary environment.
School-College-Work Initiative (Dual Credit) – an initiative that helps decrease the secondary school dropout rate of at-risk students by giving them access to the many benefits of a college education while helping them complete their Ontario Secondary School Diploma
