Durham College’s On-Campus Employment programs are designed to assist full-time, domestic and international students who demonstrate a financial need with useful career-related experiences that will help them achieve their personal and academic goals.

Our programs offer competitive wages and valuable work experience within a variety of exciting roles and departments throughout Durham campuses.

Types of On-Campus Employment

  • DC Works: allows domestic students to work part-time hours during their studies from September to April of each academic year
  • IWorksallows international students to work part-time hours during their studies from September to April each academic year
  • Summer Employment Program: allows domestic students who are returning to studies in the fall semester to work full-time hours from May to August of each academic year
  • International Summer Program: allows international students who are returning to studies in the fall to work full-time hours from May to August of each academic year
  • Peer Tutoring

Students who are approved for On-Campus Employment programs are not guaranteed a job. They must apply to available postings found on the Hired portal by submitting their program approval email, cover letter and resume based on the posting instructions. Students must interview and be a suitable candidate/fit for the respective job they are applying for.
