Join the DC Crew!

This co-curricular leadership and volunteer program is built on the proud DC Crew tradition and offers students the chance to make a positive impact on campus while gaining hands-on experience. It’s a great opportunity to build leadership skills, grow your confidence, and develop valuable employability skills.

Through workshops, volunteer opportunities, goal setting, and reflection, you’ll build practical skills that support your academic success, career readiness, and personal growth.

Students who complete the program earn a Student Leadership Certificate, with additional recognition based on their volunteer hours.

Open to current full-time DC post-secondary students, DC Crew members are known for their school spirit, teamwork, and commitment to helping others succeed. Along the way, you’ll make meaningful friendships, create memorable experiences, and contribute to welcoming thousands of students each year.

As a DC Crew member, you’ll carry on this tradition while developing the skills, confidence, and experience to support your journey at Durham College and beyond.

As part of the DC Crew, you will have the opportunity to:

• Build your volunteer portfolio to enhance your qualifications for a Student Leadership Award
• Earn your Student Leadership Certificate upon successful program completion and additional recognition based on volunteer hours.

application Requirements:

• Current student in good standing at Durham College with the Office of Campus Safety
• Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Friendly, inclusive, and welcoming personality
• Dedicated to helping students transition to college life
• Ability to travel to campus as needed for events and/or content creation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Time management and strong organizational skills
