Dental Clinic

Welcome to our Dental Clinic, where we are dedicated to providing affordable dental cleanings to the public. Our clinic is staffed by skilled dental hygiene students who are committed to delivering high-quality care under the supervision of experienced professionals.

The majority of clients will require 3-5 appointments on average to complete care and all appointments will be 2.5 hours in length. Our mandate is to support specific course outcomes and enhance student learning experiences, ensuring that our students gain practical, hands-on experience while you receive excellent dental care. We invite you to take advantage of our services and contribute to the education of the next generation of dental hygienists. Your smile is our priority!

Appointments will be offered from Sept 3 to Dec 20 for the following times:

  • Monday- CLOSED
  • Tuesday- 8:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday- 8:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday- 8:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday- CLOSED

WE DO NOT ACCEPT WALK-INS OR EMERGENCIES.
WE DO NOT OFFER DENTAL TREATMENT.

Parking is free in the Commencement Lot - Google Maps. Provide the ticket to the Dental Receptionist for validation. Please do not park in the “Pay and Park Lot” as it is not free.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

The Durham College Dental Clinics will continue to follow health and safety COVID-19 symptom check requirements for client pre-screening.

Services are provided by Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students under the direct supervision of qualified dental professionals. Please be assured that our Dental Clinic has always followed best practice infection control standards as outlined by the College of Dental Hygienists and Public Health Ontario, and will continue to do so.

Our updated screening and safety protocols are as follows:

  • You will be asked screening questions before your appointment and again when you arrive.
  • Wearing a face-covering is welcomed however not mandatory for clients entering the Dental Clinic.
  • We will ask you to use the provided hand sanitizer before you enter the clinic and prior to leaving.
  • Additional guests or family members should not accompany you to your appointment, unless necessary.

Services at this time include:

  • $35.00 fee for adults (17 years and older)
  • $25.00 fee for ages 13 to 16
  • $15.00 fee for ages 5 - 12
  • $15.00 fee for Sports Mouth Guard fabrication
  • $40.00 fee for Whitening trays, refills $25.00
  • Cleaning of teeth (scaling)
  • Desensitization treatment
  • Examinations/X-rays, if required
  • Polishing of teeth
  • Pit and fissure sealants as prescribed
  • Fluoride treatments
  • Oral hygiene instruction
  • Dental Assisting Clinical Services $10.00

    Payments should be made online using the secure payment links below. If necessary, debit or credit payments can be made at your first appointment. Cash payments are not accepted.

    The clinic does not provide emergency treatment, extractions, or fillings; however, the results of any findings can be forwarded to a dentist of your choice.
