Students in the Dental Hygiene program gain hands-on experience in the campus’s new, state-of-the-are dental clinic, which is equipped with 24 chairs. The clinic enables students to practice their pre-clinical and client care skills. A second clinic, equipped with 26 chairs, provides students with the opportunity to complete radiography and extra practice sessions. Each student is assigned a dental unit and first-year students enjoy six hours of clinic practice a week, while second-year students enjoy 12 hours of clinic practice weekly. Students work closely with a licensed dentist and experienced faculty in performing dental hygiene care for members of the public.
