Whitby campus From its beginning as a converted chocolate factory, Durham College’s (DC) Whitby campus has experienced an amazing evolution since opening its doors in 1993. Home to a range of post-secondary, apprenticeship and corporate training programs across multiple disciplines, with a special focus on skilled trades, hospitality and horticulture, the campus’s classrooms, labs, shops and training facilities provide a dynamic, experiential-learning environment for DC students and community partners. Galen Weston Centre for Food The W. Galen Weston Centre for Food (Weston Centre) opened in September 2013. Focused on field-to-fork and sustainable business practices, the centre is home to DC’s programs in culinary, food and farming, horticulture, hospitality, and special events management. The college’s award-winning full-service restaurant, Bistro ’67, retail store Pantry, which features food grown and prepared by students, an outdoor classroom and the Barrett Centre of Innovation in Sustainable Urban Agriculture are also included. 360° video tour Ontario Power Generation Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology The Ontario Power Generation Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology (CSTT) is a 60,000 sq. ft. building designed to shine a spotlight on industrial skilled trades training, innovation and education. Home to DC’s electrical, elevating devices and plumbing programs, students can innovate and learn in its many labs, configurable classrooms and a double-height learning space which is home to a two-storey building model. In addition, the CSTT features student collaboration areas, food service facilities and a brand-new 2,000 sq. ft.
