After two days of fierce competition, the judges have made their ruling and awarded this year’s Paralegal Mock Trial Cup to Fanshawe College, with George Brown College weighing in at a close second.
Durham College’s Paralegal mock trial cup gives students the chance to show their advocacy skills and their abilities to argue the law.
This event is organized by the School of Justice & Emergency Services and faculty of the Paralegal program at Durham College. Participants will be participating in teams of six in front of a panel of real judges and justices. This competition is designed to help in the developing of skills such as public speaking, legal research, building self confidence, and will put students on the forefront of who is “up and coming” in the legal field.
