Apply now for the Student Food Insecurity Bursary

This message is sent on behalf of Financial Aid & Awards. Please direct any questions to financialaid@durhamcollege.ca.

With the rising cost of food across Ontario, supporting our DC students and families is more important than ever. Through our annual Food Insecurity Bursary, we provide financial support for students with families and international and domestic students living away from home who are facing food insecurity.

Are you a student who needs a little extra help this holiday season?

Email financialaid@durhamcollege.ca with the subject line “Food Insecurity Bursary 2023_your student #” to request consideration. All eligible students will be provided a link to a separate application form that must be completed and submitted no later than December 6.

To be eligible, you must live in Ontario and be:

  • Registered in a full-time program and studying a full-time course load (minimum 60% or 40% for students with a documented disability)

or

  • Registered with the Access and Support Centre taking a reduced course load during the fall 2023 academic semester.

Part-time students and those commencing their studies in January 2024 are not eligible, however; if you need support, please visit www.durham.ca/en/living-here/food-banks.aspx.
