Campus Safety Week Kicks Off at DC – Monday, January 9 to Friday, January 13

This message is being shared on behalf of Thomas Bezruki, manager, Emergency Management, Office of Campus Safety.

Campus Safety Week starts today and Durham College (DC) is committed to keeping students and employees safe on campus.

We offer a number of services and initiatives across DC that help keep our campus community safe, including Campus Security, the Campus Health and Wellness Centre, sexual violence support, Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT), Code Blue stations, and more.

Durham College also uses the free Alertus app to send notifications in the event of an active threat on campus. A test of the app will take place on Friday, January 13. Employees and students are encouraged to download Alertus here.

To help you learn more about our services and stay safe, there are a number of videos on a variety of topics available on our Campus Safety Week website.

For more information on the resources we offer, how to access them and how to protect yourself, visit our Campus Safety website.
