Join us for the grand opening of the Centre for Innovation and Research Posted on April 25, 2023 at 9:22 am. As we previously shared back in March, construction of our new Centre for Innovation and Research (CIR) is now complete. Located in the former J Block at Oshawa campus, the newly renovated CIR is a collaborative, state-of-the-art space that fuels creative thinking, networking and synergistic partnerships between DC and our community. You’re invited to celebrate the grand opening with us on Thursday, April 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. Remarks will begin at 2:30 p.m. The CIR is home to the college’s Office of Research Services, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ORSIE) and four of six applied research centres: the AI Hub, Centre for Cybersecurity Innovation, Mixed Reality Capture Studio and the Social Impact Hub, as well as the Institutional Research Team and the Experiential Learning Hub. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the new space, light refreshments, plus so much more. Please RSVP by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26. Free parking will be available in Founders 2 Lot during the event, and we ask that all guests enter through the CIR main doors located on the east side of the building.
