National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack and Action Against Islamophobia Posted on January 27, 2023 at 3:11 pm. Sunday, January 29, marks the seventh anniversary of the violent attack that took place at the Islamic Cultural Centre in Quebec City, where six people lost their lives, and 19 others were seriously injured during an act of terror. This day of remembrance reminds us of the work we must do to eradicate Islamophobia, hate and racism in Canada. This Sunday, you’re encouraged to pay tribute to and remember those lives lost and stand with Canadian Muslims against Islamophobia to create an inclusive and respectful Canadian society. Senseless acts of terror have no place in our world.
