Reminder – Get ready for the Job Fair with Gear Up to Get Hired events

How can you get ready to stand out at our upcoming Job Fairs?

Attend the following Gear Up to Get Hired workshops on the Hired Portal events calendar, between Monday, January 23 to Tuesday, January 31:   

  • Resumé drop-in sessions – get tips and techniques to take your resumé to the next level. 
  • Personal pitch webinar – pick up a few pointers on how to put together a terrific pitch – the 30-second summary that will help an employer remember you.  
  • Networking webinar – learn how you can network successfully and make meaningful industry connections.  
  • Book an appointment for a resumé review through the Hired Portal. 
  • Visit the Career Resources section of the Hired Portal and download our helpful tip sheets, booklets and more. 
  • Additional Gear Up to Get Hired event and Virtual Job Fair details will be announced in January. Keep up-to-date by following @GetHiredDC on Instagram or using #GetHiredDC on social media.

Then, join us at one of two upcoming Job Fairs:

  • Durham College and Ontario Tech University Job Fair – Oshawa campus 
    Thursday, February 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre
  • Durham College Job Fair – Whitby campus 
    Wednesday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Main building atrium, hallway and Student Lounge

How do you register?

Look out for an email in your dcmail.ca address titled titled “Oshawa campus Job Fair save the date” or “Whitby campus Job Fair save the date” to register for the fairs.
