Winter Weather Procedures at Durham College Posted on February 13, 2023 at 10:04 am. This message is being sent on behalf of the Emergency Management Response Team (EMRT). Are you familiar with Durham College’s (DC) winter weather procedures? Most winter days, the campuses remain open and activities are unaffected. However, sometimes, winter weather impacts learning and working, and it is important to know what to do in those situations. During inclement weather, DC follows its own protocols and practices when determining its impact on teaching or working. If there are any changes to our regular learning or work schedule or facilities, DC will communicate by email and through the college’s campus status website, social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram), and the DC Mobile App. If you are required to come to campus, please allow plenty of time and travel with caution and care. If you see a snow or ice hazard on campus, please contact Security at 905-721-3211 and provide the exact location and situation so it can be safely addressed.
