Where could we expand our thinking about the kinds of learners we can serve at Durham College (DC) in the future?  What do we need to innovate to make DC attractive for both the students of today and the full range of learners of tomorrow?

DC already does a great job educating post-secondary students from our region and around the world. We are a key access point for a wide array of credentials and training that prepare people for future success. We also play a role in continuing education, supporting people to upskill and re-skill throughout their lives.

As we plan for the future, we know we will need to attract a wider array of students to sustain our success. There is more that we can do as an educational institution and more people we could serve. In this visioning session, we will explore the kinds of learners we might want to attract here in the future, and innovative ways we could structure our education offerings and supports to make DC attractive to an even wider range of learners across a comprehensive mix of career needs. Together we will explore who are the learners of tomorrow and what bold moves we could make as an institution to make us the college of choice for learners today and in the future.
