BTS: Creative Calm: Stress-Relief Workshops

Better Together Series: Recovery College

Feeling overwhelmed with post-secondary life?
Join your DC and OTU peers for Creative Calm, a series of four hands-on workshops designed to help you manage stress through playful art and mindfulness.

Throughout the series, you will craft beautiful, personalized pieces such as painted plant pots, custom-designed tote bags, intricate mood mandalas, and unique bracelets. Each activity is designed to encourage mindfulness – guiding you to slow down, focus on the creative process, and experience a deep sense of relaxation. Come for the fun, leave feeling refreshed and inspired! No prior artistic experience is required. In partnership with Ontario Shores

Learning Objectives:
Expressing your creativity through painting
Embrace mindfulness while focusing on the present task
Explore symbolism in shapes and colours to create meaningful artwork
Practice mindfulness and self-reflection through the creative process
Gain confidence in personal artistic expression and pattern creation
Promote relaxation and stress relief techniques
