BTS: Nutrition Seminars with Sylvia Emmorey

Presented by the FLEX Fitness Centre in collaboration with both Durham College and Ontario Tech Health Promotions, Sylvia Emmorey (RHN, RNCP, ROHP) will discuss the following important topics:

Heart Wellness:
Week 1 – November 12th 1:00-2:00 p.m.
If heart disease is in your family or perhaps someone else’s in your life, then this is the seminar for you. Learn about the myths and realities of different foods and diets for a healthy heart. Nutritionist Sylvia Emmorey will cover high cholesterol as well as high blood pressure in this informative session, while also recommending foods for optimal Heart Health.

Gut Health:
Week 2 – November 19th 1:00-2:00 p.m.
If you suffer with improper digestion or any type of digestive issue, you may have heard terms like “Gut Health “ or Microbiome”… but what do these terms actually mean and why are they important?
