At 10:00, A Community Cultural Mosaic for #DCIEW2024 kicks off, including remarks from DC President, Dr. Elaine Popp. Stick around for performances and to visit booths showcasing Durham Region culture. New this year, join us for a special movie screening that delves into the emotional highs and lows of international education, told through two compelling student films. Follow the journeys of three international students in Far from Home, a heartfelt exploration of leaving family behind to pursue dreams in a new country. Then, experience the joy and challenges of building deep connections across cultures in Friendship, a moving story about what friendship means across borders and languages. Together, these films paint a powerful picture of the international education experience, one of loss, growth, and the bonds that bridge worlds. Join us in B138 (The Chronicle Newsroom) from 12:30-2 p.m., which will also feature a special Q & A session with the filmmakers. + Google Calendar+ iCal Export Related Events Nov 14 Academic Integrity Workshop Learn more about this event.
