Latin American Heritage Month

Latin American Heritage Month recognizes and celebrates the immense contributions and accomplishments Latin American communities across Canada have achieved in helping to shape Canadian society.

Canadians of Latin American origin play a pivotal role in Canada’s growth and expansion, as many are entrepreneurs in various sectors. Latin American culture continues to be infused in all facets of Canadian society-from the food to the dancing and so much more! Celebrate Latin American Heritage Month by going to different events, forums, workshops, art exhibitions, artist performances and more hosted by the community, both in person and online.

Latin American Heritage Month is a time for all of us here at Durham College to learn more about Latin American history and heritage and a time to celebrate and honour the vibrant and rich cultures and traditions of our fellow Canadians of Latin American origin.
