Health Aspects: Pros and Cons of Access to Cannabis Posted on March 2, 2020 at 2:04 pm. This presentation is designed for students in the dental hygiene program, as part of their 4th-semester nutrition class. Thanks to the ability to host in the global classroom, the invitation is extended to anyone who is interested in learning about cannabis. Topics include a brief introduction to the science of the cannabis plant, current issues surrounding access to cannabis for medicinal use, considering the health implications of consuming cannabis, and access to education about cannabis. This is a panel discussion between three experts in the cannabis industry.
