Treaties Recognition Week Braiding Our Past, Present and Future Treaties Recognition Week is meant to honour the treaties agreed to between Indigenous nations and the Crown in right of Ontario over the last 250 years. Understanding the spirit and intent of treaty relationships is important for building new relationships of mutual respect and benefit between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Join us throughout the first week of November as we take time to learn about and reflect on the rights and relationships these treaties have formed, in a series of interactive events at both our Whitby and Oshawa campuses. To learn more please visit our calendar of events or reach out directly to the FPIC by emailing Indigneous@durhamcollege.ca Please note, COVID restrictions remain in place and masks must be worn when inside, in addition to filling out a pre-screening questionnaire. To learn more about DC’s vaccination policy, please visit the COVID site. Want to learn more about treaty relationships in Canada?
