Treaties Recognition Week Braiding Our Past, Present and Future Treaties Recognition Week is meant to honour the treaties agreed to between Indigenous nations and the Crown in right of Ontario over the last 250 years. Understanding the spirit and intent of treaty relationships is important for building new relationships of mutual respect and benefit between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Join us throughout the first week of November as we take time to learn about and reflect on the rights and relationships these treaties have formed, in a series of interactive events at both our Whitby and Oshawa campuses. To learn more please visit our calendar of events or reach out directly to the FPIC by emailing Indigneous@durhamcollege.ca Want to learn more about treaty relationships in Canada? Be sure to visit Whose land to explore the territories upon which you reside. Additionally, a number of resources are available through The Campus Library. Events 9 events found.
