The Library has a new streaming video resource

Can-Core Video Library is a growing collection of thousands of documentaries, television programs, and news segments from Canadian and Indigenous filmmakers and producers. There is an outstanding collection that will spark student engagement, facilitate creative thinking and foster critical thinking skills.

There is excellent content such as Smarty Plants: Uncovering the Secret World of Plant Behaviour, or Bears Lairs, a reality TV show featuring 18 Indigenous entrepreneurs pitching to Indigenous business experts, ‘The Bears,’ and many W5 documentaries of interest, like Without Consent, an investigation on Canadian doctors performing forced sterilizations on Indigenous women, or Animal House, a look into unaccredited Ontario roadside zoos.
