November 12 to 18 is Métis Week

Métis Week celebrates the heritage, history and contributions of Métis people. The Métis are a distinct Indigenous people with a unique history, culture, language, and way of life. Their territory includes the waterways of Ontario, surrounding the Great Lakes and spans what was known as the historic Northwest.
