Recognizing Orange Shirt Day & the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30

Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a time to reflect and learn about the past and ongoing injustices faced by Indigenous peoples and communities. It is a time for recognition, remembrance, and to honour survivors of the former Indian residential school system and the intergenerational impact it has caused on Indigenous communities, families, and individuals.

Engage with a selection of self-directed learning resources as we lead up to September 30 and beyond.

Events leading up to September 30 are hosted by the First Peoples Indigenous Centre (FPIC). Additional resources are available in our virtual collection.
