We Are All Treaty People

Treaties Recognition Week is a time for understanding and respecting treaty rights, the relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, and their relevance today.

This year, Treaties Recognition Week is November 3 to 9, 2024.

Learn more about treaties, current land claims (treaties are ongoing and adaptable), and whose land you live and learn on. And browse the Maamwi Treaties of Ontario database on the Learning Portal.

Join the College and Ontario Tech on Friday, November 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the First Peoples Indigenous Centre, Room 141, for the Wampum Belt and Cornhusk Doll workshop, led by Mohawk artist Elizabeth Doxtater from Six Nations, Grand River.
