Friday, June 6, 2014 – 1:35 p.m. Please be advised that Simcoe Street has been re-opened between Commencement Drive and Niagara Street following the closure due to a gas leak at the new construction on Simcoe Street. Friday, June 6, 2014 – 1 p.m. There has been a report of a gas leak from the new construction on Simcoe Street, just south of the joint Durham College/UOIT campus in north Oshawa. Fire and police services and Enbridge are all on site. Simcoe Street is currently closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic between Commencement Drive and Niagara Street.
