KIA Canada Inc. to announce donation to Durham College

Automotive manufacturer is driving change with current and future students

OSHAWA, ONT. – Skilled trades students at Durham College will soon have access to additional state-of-the-art automotive technology and equipment as Kia Canada Inc. gears up to announce a generous equipment donation to the automotive shop area at the college’s Whitby campus on Wednesday, February 9.

Representatives from KIA Canada will join Don Lovisa, president of Durham College, students, faculty and staff to reveal details of the donation including the training opportunities it will provide to students; how access to current vehicles enables students to prepare for the workforce while still attending school; and the importance of community partnerships such as the relationship between Kia Canada and the college in terms of accessing equipment, curriculum development, field placement opportunities and more.
