Durham College varsity teams now know the road they will have to take in order to achieve their championship goals in 2012-13 as their sports schedules have been released.

Highlighting the varsity sports season is the 2012 PING Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) golf national championship, as the Lords will defend their back-to-back women’s golf titles in Oshawa. The championship will be taking place at the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club from Oct. 15-19, 2012 and will feature the top collegiate golfers from across the country. This will mark third time Durham College has hosted the national championship.

Fans should also mark down Sat. Sept. 22 on their calendar as the Lords baseball program will celebrate their 2011 national championship prior to their home opener at Kinsmen Memorial Stadium.

The 4^th annual campus cup against the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) Ridgebacks will take place at Vaso’s Field on Wed. Sept. 8. For the first time in campus history, the women’s team will face the Ridgebacks, who will debut their program this season. Kick-off for the event is at 6 p.m.

This year also marks the 25^th running of the women’s volleyball Adidas Cup.
