Music video shot on campus

Durham College was the site for 20 Amp Soundchild’s new hit music video. The up-and-coming band from Pickering rocked the college when they came to shoot their Lights Go Out video at the Oshawa campus.

The second video to be filmed at the college made use of several campus locations including the gymnasium; classrooms; and hallways. Members of the student club, The Geek Freaks, a hip-hop dance group, as well as some residence students can be seen throughout the video.

Currently number 11 on MuchMusic’s Fresh Videos list, the video is about bullying with the main character depicted as an extra-terrestrial being to portray his sense of alienation. The band feels bullying is an important issue in our society and hopes their message resonates with today’s youth.

The video is now live on YouTube and has already received more than 3,800 hits.
