Upcoming Board of Governors Student Elections

It’s YOUR voice. It’s YOUR vote.

Durham College is governed by a Board of Governors comprised of 17 members including the college president; 12 external community members; and four internally elected candidates, one of whom is a student governor.

Board members are responsible for the following:

  • Setting the vision, strategic direction and overall goals of the college
  • Approving board policy
  • Approving the annual business plan, budget and annual report
  • Hiring the college president, assigning responsibilities and evaluating the president’s performance

The college strives to recruit students who demonstrate exemplary leadership and can provide a strong voice on the Board. If you are looking to lead; engage; grow; and empower then the Board of Governors needs you!

Nominations for student governor will be accepted Monday, February 27 through Friday, March 2.

Online voting will take place the week of March 5 to 9 through MyCampus.
