Durham College to announce significant donation from distinguished graduate

November 9, 2007

OSHAWA, Ont. – Officials from Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will welcome Durham College alumni Jeffrey and Julia Boyce to campus next week where they will announce a significant financial and laboratory equipment donation that will greatly benefit the students of both post-secondary institutions. The announcement will include specific details of the donation, including the exact amount, a tour of the newly equipped lab and plans to permanently commemorate the generous gift.

The donation signifies the couple’s ongoing support for their alma mater and Jeffrey Boyce’s passion for alternative energy, a pursuit that resulted from co-founding a Calgary-based multimillion-dollar corporation in the oil and gas sector, among his many business accomplishments.
