The Society of Media, Art & Design (SoMAD) is once again pleased to present the SoMAD Awards on Wednesday, February 20 in the Student Centre lounge and at E.P Taylor’s Pub and Restaurant. The event, showcasing the creativity and talent of students in the School of Media, Art & Design (MAD), is judged by recognized industry professionals. This year’s event will be hosted by YouTube personality and producer, reporter and writer Steve Dangle.

Awards are available in the following categories:

• Animation
• Audio Production
• Broadcast Journalism
• Graphic Design
• Photography
• Print Journalism
• Traditional Art
• Videography
• Web Media
• People’s Choice

 
Entries must be received by Friday, February 1. Students must be currently enrolled in a full-time program in the School of MAD. Current student identification must be provided in order for winners to receive their prize. Only one piece of work per category may be submitted, but all entries received will also appear in the People’s Choice category, giving students an extra chance to win.
