Students enrolled in Durham College’s Culinary Skills and Hospitality Management – Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism programs are inviting members of the public to experience Bistro Max, a student-operated working restaurant lab classroom. Located at Maxwell Heights Secondary School (Maxwell Heights S.S.) in Oshawa, Ont., Bistro Max is part of the Hospitality Management and Culinary Skills programs’ Food Service Operation course. This fall’s dining experience began on October 3 and will be offered every Wednesday and Thursday until December 6 with seatings between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Menu items are diverse and exotic and include Sage-rubbed Roast Durham Pork Loin; Tequila-grilled Scallops; Asian Lettuce Wraps; Smoked Duck Breast; Shrimp Linguine and much more.
