Event Planning students kick off experiential learning at the Durham Region Run for the Cure

First-year Event Planning students gained hands-on experience at the Durham Region Run for the Cure, supporting event set-up and execution while contributing to an important community cause. It’s the first of many experiential learning opportunities throughout the program. Each semester, students work on a variety of community events, gaining industry knowledge, developing professional skills, and building connections with event professionals while experiencing the many stages of event planning first-hand.
