Exploring the intersection of people, technology and interior design

Interior Decorating students explored the connections between human movement, immersive technology and interior environments during a recent visit to DC’s Mixed Reality Capture (MRC) Studio. Through hands-on motion capture experimentation, students moved beyond classroom discussion to experience the technology firsthand. The visit encouraged students to consider how people interact with spaces and how emerging technologies can inform the design and understanding of interior environments. By connecting design concepts with hands-on learning, the experience gave students a new perspective on the relationship between people, technology and the spaces they inhabit.
