In this course, students will acquire the essential skills required to craft news stories that are fit for both traditional print and digital media. The course emphasizes the fundamental components of news writing, such as accuracy, coherence, news judgment, and constructing compelling leads. Students will be introduced to diverse styles and formats of news writing, and they will also familiarize themselves with the Canadian Press style - the widely accepted style guide employed by most Canadian media organizations.
