Field placements are designed to provide students with an opportunity to build bridges between academic knowledge, theoretical discussions, and actual work environment. They give students an opportunity to learn through experience. In LAWP 1100 students will spend each Thursday and Friday for approximately seven weeks working in an organization that is directly related to their chosen career path. The field placement offers students opportunities to : increase their understanding of their chosen profession, enhance professional skills, learn about organizational culture and working conditions, the clients encountered and the areas serviced, as well as develop professional contacts.
