Introduction to Non-Destructive Testing

Explore the commonly used manufacturing processes and materials, typical discontinuities and testing methods applied. Learn how understanding of materials, how a component was made and how it was treated informs the NDT method, their areas of application and limitations and what discontinuities can be discovered during inspection. Key topics also include human factors, foundations of quality, codes, standards and procedures, destructive tests and testing to understand material properties. Course content meets or exceeds the requirements of CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2022 (Qualification and Certification of Non-Destructive Testing Personnel).
