The Project Resource Planning and Scheduling course is designed to empower the student/practitioner with the skills and techniques required to plan and schedule the project resources throughout the project lifecycle by using PMI standards supported by industry best practices. The core topics include planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling the project, and allocating resources to implement the project. Other techniques discussed include scope planning, development and use of the WBS, developing schedules, project resources requirements planning, acquisition, and allocation, network diagrams, scheduling and schedule calculations and optimization, resource-constrained scheduling, allocation and leveling of project resources, earned value analysis and schedule control. This project management course covers relevant automated and manual techniques used in planning, scheduling, and monitoring of human and non-human resources required to deliver project deliverables. The course concentrates on the primary knowledge areas from the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge while being reinforced by real-life case studies and exercises.
