Composition and Design

This course is a great starting point for exploring the elements and principals of design as well as composition for screen and other media. Good composition and an understanding of design are essential in telling visual stories and creating presentations in a variety of media: this can sometimes be overlooked in the advanced diploma programs. It is often assumed that students are familiar with these crucial concepts before entering advanced programs, so the focus is (often) on more advanced concepts, which ultimately creates gaps in a student's career preparation. This course ensures that the importance and foundational understanding of composition and design are learned before entering the targeted advanced diploma programs.
