Students will be introduced to the various features of Windows, file and record management, how to utilize the internet effectively, and the efficient use of a computer to perform the various functions of an office administrator. Students will learn the principles of records management, electronic and paper-based file management, the various Acts that pertain to file management, the rules of indexing, the procedures for processing incoming and outgoing mail, utilizing features of email software, the elements of effective office ergonomics, and the significance of a positive social media presence for a business.
