This course is designed to explore key theories and issues in adolescent development and learning. The course will primarily focus on youth development from a cognitive, social, personality and physical perspective. Students will be introduced to the major psychological theories, theorists and controversies in the field of human development. The latest research relating to development will be explored in relation to classroom performance, deviant behaviour, restorative practice, legal implications and criminal intentions.
