Students will learn how to locate sources of government and legal information, both in print and online, for the Federal and Ontario jurisdictions. They will learn how to use a variety of strategies to research legal problems and apply knowledge of the structure of legal documents, as well as how the law changes over time, to perform accurate and efficient research. Students will also be introduced to legal writing, proper citation, and technologies that are shaping legal research for the future.
