This course is a continuation of Clinical and Professional Practice I (AUDI 1102). Students will be further introduced to clinical skills, strategies, and knowledge necessary to help prepare for their role and scope of practice for employment as a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA). Topics include therapeutic specific skills, planning a therapy session, documentation, managing challenging behaviours, multicultural/multilingual factors and the impact of loss on clients/caregivers. Throughout the course, the role of CDAs will be emphasized.
